ChatGPT app

On this page

Ask ChatGPT about your analytics and see the answer as an interactive chart in the conversation: traffic and revenue over time, the channels and pages that convert, your funnels and who is on your site right now.

The MetricRaven app is waiting for its listing in ChatGPT's app directory. Until it appears, connect it yourself with developer mode, as below.

What you can ask

  • Chart traffic and revenue. “Chart my visitors and revenue for the last 30 days.” Switch between 7, 30 and 90 days on the chart, or open the website in MetricRaven.
  • Compare channels. “Which channels brought the most revenue this month?” Also pages, campaigns, referrers, countries, devices and browsers.
  • Goals and funnels. “Show my signup funnel and where visitors drop off.”
  • Right now. “How many people are on my site, and from where?”

Name the website and the dates in your question when you have several. Revenue is credited to the visit that first brought each customer, and your plan's limits still apply.

Connect MetricRaven

  1. Turn on developer mode

In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps (or Security and login, depending on your plan) and turn on Developer mode. Workspace admins may need to allow it.

  2. Create the app

Add a new app, name it MetricRaven, enter this server URL and choose OAuth:

    url
    https://metricraven.com/api/mcp
  3. Approve access

Sign in to MetricRaven, choose the websites and permissions to share and select Allow. Read is enough for every report. You never paste an API key.

  4. Ask a question

Start a new conversation, turn on MetricRaven from the tools menu and try one of the questions above.

You choose what to share

  • ChatGPT can only use the websites and permissions you approve. MetricRaven checks your current membership and role on every request, so removing you from a website removes it from ChatGPT too.
  • read covers reports and charts. visitors adds individual visitor journeys. write allows chart notes, alerts, goal labels and team changes; ChatGPT explains and asks before making them. You can't delete websites or connect payment providers from ChatGPT.
  • The answers you ask for are shared with ChatGPT. Your password, dashboard session and API keys are not, and the chart receives only the report it shows, never your connection token.
  • Disconnect in MetricRaven under Settings → API & MCP → Connected apps. That stops new requests and token refreshes at once; it doesn't delete what ChatGPT already received.

How it works

The app is MetricRaven's MCP server with OAuth sign-in. Two tools, show_traffic_chart and show_breakdown_chart, return a chart that ChatGPT renders in the conversation; every other tool is listed in MCP tools. The chart is self-contained and loads nothing from other sites. Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients use the same server.
